Welcome and sorry to hear about your leak.

>From your description this probably isn't the same problem, but my boat was
slightly damaged in an accident while being trailered.  The previous owner
had installed blocks in the centerboard trunk to prevent the centerboard
from moving back and forth while at anchor.  During the accident, one of the
blocks cracked the trunk and caused a leak.  If you haven't checked it out
already, you might want to see if your centerboard trunk has a crack in it.

If it's any consolation, after my leak was fixed I've had four repair-free
years of sailing.
