[Rhodes22-list] conjecturing on leakage

Joe,

Good strategy for finding a HULL leak, agreed. In this case, remember that the leak could be originating from inside the cockpit, which I think is your current theory, then accumulating in the laz area. The only way to prove or disprove this is to put water into the cockpit well with the drain plugged, first from the top, then from the hull opening at the bottom. The only way to do this, of course, is with the boat on the trailer and out of the water, thereby isolating the variables. We are all trying to be of help to you. Using either or both of these test methods will require having the boat out of the water, so no additional grief on your part. The cockpit test might be a less intrusive start.

BTW, before you drain the water out, jump in to refresh yourself, it will be 90 degrees, pm thunderstorms, in Knoxville today.

Best to you,

Art
