I have the factory supplied bimini and while I don't have the measurement
you asked for I can say that if I choose to sail with the bimini up (on rare
occasions with very fussy and "celtic skinned" passengers) I am required to
use the topping lift to keep the boom off the bimini. It's not the most
efficient way to sail and you won't break any speed records but you can move
through the water and keep the passengers in the shade.

I'll try to get that measurement for you this weekend.
