You might not want to do that on a Yamaha or engine with similar fuel connectors. They have an O-ring in them that gets chewed up a little with every connect operation. When they start leaking air the motor starts hard and doesn't idle. Very weak design.

Stephen,

At the end of each day, disconnect your fuel hose from the engine and let
the engine run until the bowl is dry.  This will cut down on crud building
up in the carb and bowl.
