[Rhodes22-list] Kindle versus Sony Touch Reader, Experience?

Hi All,

Sandy, My wife, has a Kindle 2. She loves the thing. Very simple to use,
even for someone with only one working hand. A battery charge lasts several
days if you turn off the wireless signal. It will supposedly hold something
like 1500 books. You can buy a book at 3 am in about a minute without even
getting out of bed, if you want.

Careful though, If you are on a budget at all, buying books is so
convenient, you can find yourself with a fair sized bill sometimes.

Just had to post this in response to big AL.

I too go back past the beginnings of this list to the original Sailnet list.
I helped MJM set this list up in it's current form. The reason this list and
the charter for it were made the way they are, is because Sailnet wanted to
place the same restrictions on discussion as Al would have us adhere to. We
didn't like it then and still don't. Al, nobody twisted your arm to come
here and believe me, no one will mind if you leave. If you don't like this
list, why don't you do like we did and .... go start your own.

Many colleges claim that they develop "leaders." All too often, that means
turning out graduates who cannot feel fulfilled unless they are telling
other people what to do. There are already too many people like that, and
they are a menace to everyone else's freedom. ...Thomas Sowell
