[Rhodes22-list] January 2009 - Is there still a Rhodes 22 List?

Brad,

Hmmm .... Bet the bridge up at Kentucky Dam will get finished now. Might 
be the dumbest thing I've ever seen .... speaking of bridges to no 
where, but the project is started and has been on hold lately due to 
lack of funds.

Even though the bridge is stupid in my mind, when it is done it will be 
possible for the project to extend the locks in Kentucky Dam from 600 to 
1200 feet to begin. I guess it'll be nice to have that done as it'll 
most certainly cut down on barge congestion waiting to lock through to 
the Ohio River. Our marina is about a 1/2-3/4  mile above the dam.

If I were king though, all of this crazy spending would grind to a halt 
until we could start seeing some reasonable deficit numbers. But, (sigh) 
I don't suppose the gubmint will be happy 'til they've inflated all of a 
guys retirement savings away to nothing.
