Yes, it is a thru-hull transducer.
My boat has three thru-hulls besides the drains.  One is plugged, and the other two are located forward and to either side of the keel.  These are the depth finder transducer and a little spinny wheel thingy for the knotmeter..  They are accessible by removing the porta-potti and then paying a teenager.
