[Rhodes22-list] Stan .... got mast stubs? how much?

All,

I'd suggest getting the stubs from Stan, although nothing is owed by or to me. If Stan depletes his limited inventory of mast section there are other alternatives which will accomplish the goal. I'd suggest a stub length no shorter than 32" with the hole in the bottom center. In the camping mode an eye bolt can be used to fasten one end to the mast, PVC pipe, or wood and then fasten the eye end to the PT connector. If stays can fix the stub in place, very important, the horizontally stowed mast can be lashed to the top of the stub, still allowing the PT to fully connect and provide plenty of room. This really does make it realistic to camp comfortably enroute. Excellent idea and good option.
