Dan,

I'm assuming you want the thickness of the whole transom and not just
the glass.
Mine is an '86 with the standerd stern rail ,as opposed to the rail for
the captain chairs. The outside is thicker than towards the middle and
thicker the farther down on you measure. The measurements I took are 3.5"
down from the top of the transom . Mid-point between the side of the hull
and the stern rail support the thickness is 2.75". Mid-point between the
center of the transom and the stern rail support the thickness is 2
5/8",and center of the transom is 2.5" thick.

I am contemplating making a sculling oar for the Rhodes 22. Don't like
