JD,
Thanks for the introduction. We had a former member on the list that would
harass people if they didn't do a proper introduction. We appreciate
knowing the people we are talking with.

Rummy tells me that newbie's usually introduce themselves BEFORE they ask
for
help (see IMF for old Rhodes) but I guess it's better late than never (I
guess I took the warnings about keeping it short too seriously).

I just bought a '73 from a great guy in Rocky Point, NY and had it hauled
down to Philly - actually Essington - where I have it in a slip on the
river. I am an experienced sailer - raced J27s with Liberty Sailing Club,
have my bareboat and have chartered often - but this is my first boat to
own.

I did some research before I bought it and knew that the Rhodes22 was for
me. My wife has NO interest in sailing so I expect to be doing a lot of
single-handed sailing and may end up taking it to the Jersey shore so I
wanted something with a shallow draft. Everything pointed to the Rhodes.

So that's my story - to start.

Jim (sometimes known as JD)
