Mike,

Good advice.  Unless it's just a passing thundershower I usually try to
furl my sails away before they get too wet.  I'm amazed at how fast
Dacron dries; even the protective UV strip dries in a matter of minutes
while under sail.

Art,

You need to sail more if your sails are becoming mildewed.  Covers may
only 
increase the problem due to moisture buildup.

Now you have a perfect excuse to sail regularly.  Also, try not to furl
when 
sail is soaking wet (just sail longer to dry it out.)
