[Rhodes22-list] Stan "The Man"

Dear Geoff,
I only knew Stan and Rose when they lived in Amityville Harbor; this is when Rhodes Plant was on NJ avenue in N. Babylon.
We were born and raised in Jackson Hgts. and Douglaston, lived in Bayside when first married and in Massapequa Shores Development until moving upstate.

Question? Can you sail in Great South Bay now with keel down even a little at low tide? As I remember, only East and West deep water channel was the one parallel to Gilgo and Tobay Beaches and the OBI. Is the Inn still there(before Captree??)
I couldn't agree more with Ben's assessment below about dealing with Stan. Found him to be a sweetheart who saved us a bunch of money on large parts, such as rudder blade, Rhodes Sail Cover and main hatch.

Hey guys: I was born in Flushing NY and raised in Babylon NY so
please take that into consideration when grading my posts on the
  "punctiliousness"
  scale.
