We just put it in the hole for the dorade vent on 
the foredeck - we don't use the anchor rode tray. 
Works great up there. I think when we replaced it 
after 8 or 9 years, we got one with a slightly 
larger diameter and Fred had to enlarge the hole 
a bit but last I knew they did come in tow sizes.
