[Rhodes22-list] Submerged Rhodes

Here is my dumb guess. Note that it is only a partially submerged
Rhodes. My guess: Snow filled the cockpit and decks unevenly and
pushed a usually above the water thru-hull (like the sink or the
cockpit drains through the lazarette) under. Add a loose fitting or
wind that pushes it over and you have a filled cockpit, cabin or
lazarette allowing more water over the combings. The flotation is the
only reason the boat is only half sunk. Pump it out and it pops back
up which fits with someone (Todd, I think) reporting that the boat
was now floating on her lines.

Lee, I think your boat is either better maintained, in a more
sheltered spot or you are just plain lucky. Maybe they had wetter
snow across the bay. Maybe the boat had blocked cockpit drains. Lots
of simple possibilities to combine with a boatload of snow and ice.
