Hi Ron & Lisa,

Welcome to the strange world of GBI Rhodes 22s. Once the Nauti has those
first scratches, she will sail better (at least you will be able to enjoy
her since you won't be worrying as much.)

Daylight always helps. Way back in March of '81, Stan helped to set up our
R22 and "show me the ropes." He had promised to sail with us the entire
afternoon, but had to return to the plant (the old, NY plant) before we felt
really comfortable. He reassured us that alll we needed to do was reverse
the launch procedure to recover. That was at 2 pm.

By the time I was able to get my R22 back on the trailer, waiting for the
tide and all, it was very, very late, close to 11pm. We fought cross winds
and currents, depending solely on the submerged guides to center us on the
trailer. True to his word, it really wasn't very difficult to do, just
nerve racking. We were young and energetic (before kids) and that helped.

Good luck and welcome to "da list"
