[Rhodes22-list] Glag I hauled

Always think tree.

Someone hauled and stored a small workboat at the neighbors just over
our property line. Next to the woods. A very tall willow oak came
down and engulfed the boat. Fortunately the ground was so soft it
drove the trailer jack into the ground and the branches of the tree
dug in keeping the tree from crushing the boat. They worked all day
to get branches off of the front of it. Looks like there is some
damage to the outboard cowl and I can't see the transom of the boat
so I'm not sure about damage there. They haven't moved it yet so
there may be more damage to the trailer. Remarkable that the boat
wasn't crushed. The tree fell at the end of the storm pointing East.
If it had somehow pointed Northeast (less likely) it would have taken
out our shed/workshop.

Looking at all the trees and branches that fell around here, I'm
amazed that there weren't more on structures.

Glad your boat is OK Lee.
