Welcome to 'Da List' ....
I only towed my boat from the factory to Dallas and other than to launch and retrieve to a dry slip 200 yards away can't say much for pulling the boat..... 
 
When it comes to cruising for a week or so; this becomes a life style choice. If you are one that enjoys 'camping' in a travel trailer and that type of outing, then the Rhodes is about as good as a 'pocket yacht' gets. There are several 22 ft sail boats that can be used for this and I believe even an older Rhodes has more to offer. 
 
Personally,  I use the boat for day sailing and it is the best. I chose this boat for specific reasons and it has not failed in the choices I made;
1. This boat has one of the largest cockpits available. It is larger than many of the 30 ft boats I have seen and the cockpit is where you spend most of your time when you day sail
2.  With the IMF (when it works) it is very easy to single handed sail this boat. (The system does require periodic updating and maintenance, but then so does everything else)
3. There is enough cabin to store gear, necessary "pit stops" etc that one does not necessarily get with a true day sailer.
4. Though not a serious consideration at the time of purchase, a point that I have become well aware of is the quality of construction that General Boats performs. each boat that Stan produces is a hand made one of a kind and as a result these boats are easily maintained.
 
One note of warning .... if you want to race, don't get this boat, she is slow; but if you understand that life  and many things in it are a journey, not a destination, then she's a great boat.
 
That's why I bought a Rhodes and why I would do it again ....
