Lee,
Thanks for posting the photos. Always good to put a faces and names. And I agree, the boat looks beautiful. Too bad about being stuck in a bar all evening. - Rob

Chris,

Can't speak for Chris G. but I will anyway.

Mac and Chris and I tried to go out Friday but like you we were monsooned
out. Thankfully it started right before our departure so we didn't get
caught in it while out to sea. Very disappointing--we had to spend the
entire evening drinking in a bar.

Got up early Saturday morning with a very promising weather forecast.

Here's Mac and Chris getting the boat ready. Mac's boat is beautiful! It's
a recycled 1990 but the gelcoat looks brand new. Also a good picture of his
guest house in the background.

Here's a picture of Captain Mac at the helm issuing an order. I can't
remember if it was "Man the yardarm!" or "Gimme another beer!"

Lastly here's Chris the Bowmonkey after making an adjustment on the Genoa.
Seas were a little rough at times but he hardly fell overboard at all.

It's great to sail with friends and even better if the friends are sailors,
but there's nothing like sailing with friends who are Rhodes lovers. Great
conditions, great times, and learned a lot. Can't wait to do it again.

Take care and hope you can join us next time!

Chris:

Did you get out sailing on the Chesapeake Bay this past weekend? I intended
to head out for an overnight trip Friday but the severe thunderstorm action
delayed me a day. I headed south to the Little Choptank River up Hudson
Creek and hope to post some sketches of my trip latter this week. Happy
sailing.
