Thanks Rob,  Great photo.  What year is this boat?  Shows a different set of
hand rails, different hatch slide channel and different shape hatch with a
piece of SS on the part that come up to the mast.  Great material for me.

Dennis,
The mast step screws into the plywood that is part of the cabin top.  There
is no separate block. Here is a picture of a mounted mast step. - rob

What kind of wood is the block that the mast step screws into?  Mine is
