Great beginning Carl,
I especially like the disclaimer. You are right if
we worry about doing everything perfectly we would do perfectly nothing.
You may have made mistakes but that is called a learning curve! Having made
the crossing myself several times, I think you are doing great!

Subject: [Rhodes22-list] Carl's Bahama (Mis?) Adventure 2011

I am finally getting around to writing about my family's adventure in May,
before the critics (both literary and seamanship) throw me to the dogs, take
into account that I have learned many lessons on this trip, would do MANY
things different, and have a whole new respect for the accounts it has been
my privilege to read. That being said, I have come to realize that if we
wait till we know we are completely ready for things before we do them, we
would never get married, never have kids, never do much at all. So if you
could, let that statement temper your opinion if you can.
This is the first two days on the water, we came from Arkansas to Miami,
which I have chosen to maybe write about at a later date.
I have patterned this after Bill Ws accout (with permission) will send in
pdf form as soon as I get them done.
