FYI Bob,

Both my '87 (lost in hurricane Irene) & my new '83 would fill the laz  
w water while on the trailer - even w the drains clear.  I think the  
angle is different in the water.  Try to lower the bow w the jack.  
This will help. A tarp over the boat is best.
