Thank you.  I have read thru some of those several times.  I am trying to decide which is the best route to take along with the cabin roof repair.   I will go thru the searches you provided to make sure I didn't miss anything and to reread them.   Thank you again.

If you do a search on the Nabble site for chainplates, you'll find 
lots of posts. here's a general search

I also did a search on Nabble looking for "chainplate" and "Photo" 
looking for the photos Steven Alm posted of his repair. If you page
