[Rhodes22-list] FW: Chain plate repair

I kept the original chain plate. I cut out the rotted section of cabin top,
epoxied in a replacement wooden spacer and secured it to the cabin
interior with a bolt through the chain plate. It is a bit uglier since I
have a small backing plate in the cabin top, but it is in an out-of the
way area. I will try to find some pictures.

What Slim and I both did was mounted a straight chain plate to the boat and attach it through the side of the cabin. I'm pretty sure Stan came up with this repair. I'm using Slim's photo's since he did a neater job than I did. Slim?? - rob
