[Rhodes22-list] Ballast ?

Rob,
I've seen several Rhodes with a standard main and a roller furler, but my old boat was the only one I have seen with a hank on jib.  I tend to be lazy and there were plenty of times we didn't even hoist sails in the variable winds we have at the lake.  I'd have to fetch the jib from down below, hank it on, then raise it.  All it time for the wind to die.  I think I convinced the new owner to buy a sail bag and at least leave it hanked on and in the bag on deck. - Rob

Good point about changing a head sail.  After the first time I tried to drop my genoa on a pitching bow... getting beat to s**t with the lines... I
installed a jib down haul.   Best mod I've every made.  Let me know how you
like your roller furler.  The Rhodes I purchased has a roller furler system but I have not taken a good look at it yet.
