Dave,
Great you got everything back together successfully.

Please do post pictures of your depth finder/GPS installation. I'm planning a depth finder install and am interested in what you came up with. - rob

Thanks to the folks who offered advice. I managed to get both sails onto their furling tubes, furled, and installed in or attached to the mast as appropriate. My 17-year-old daughter assisted and we managed fine.

As Mary Lou said, it's pretty intuitive once you take it apart and see what's involved. The pictures really helped to anticipate - thanks again Mary Lou.

An investment in three 9x12 plastic drop cloths was well worth it to spread the sails out and have a nice slippery surface. I sprayed the inside of the mast with Sail-Kote and wiped it out. Everything slid in place like a charm. Working on the boat is always a great reminder of Stan's engineering prowess.

I also finally got my depth finder/GPS installed - will send pictures when it's fully assembled. Put an in-the-hull transducer in the lazerette, ran the wires through a carefully-thought-out hole in the transom protected by a clam shell cover, snaked the cables along the stern rail and mounted the GPS on a swivel mount attached to the stern rail. The unit will swivel to face either side, and will also quickly unclamp from the mounting ball on the stern rail and store on a second mount in the cabin.

Boat goes in the water on Monday - finally after a two-year journey back east and to a new mooring.

Thanks again,

Dave
