[Rhodes22-list] Mast Stowage During Towing

I have a little different take. I find that for trailering, Keeping the mast
lashed and properly padded to the stern rail is preferable. THe bouncing
around on the mast crutch is something I want to avoid when going over
bumps. I once did not have the crutch secured tightly enough and it popped
out of the transom..
My fault but still possible. That being said, I would certainly carry the
mast crutch for use when stepping the mast. The increased angle is what
really makes the system work well. It can be a little hard for a short
person to lift mast into the crutch but that is my method.
