[Rhodes22-list] New motor dilemma

At least partly as a result of my knockdown at a mooring recently, I will need to replace my motor. It is my intention to do so with a new one. I presently have Yamaha 9.9 on a standard motor lift, with an electric start cabled to a Yamaha remote control box mounted on my portside aft stern rail. The system has served me well over the last 10 years. However, age and orthopedic issues lead me to wish, in addition to my throttle remote, for an electric motor lift and, because my boat will move to a tight dockage area, I would also like the Rhodes motor/tiller link. My current motor had a tiller mounted throttle and, while the throttle was disconnected to accommodate the remote control box, I retained the throttle arm to facilitate backup steering needs.

Because of the redesign of motors over the last few years, it is apparently problematic whether a new Yamaha electric start can be accommodated in my desired setup. A brief conversation with a Honda dealer was equally inconclusive. I guess the first thing I would be willing to sacrifice is the throttle arm if needed but the balance of the setup - remote control box, electric lift and motor/tiller link, are all equally desirable. My question is whether anyone has a motor (8 - 9.9) of recent vintage with a setup similar to my "wish list" and, if so, the brand and vintage.

Thanks
