[Rhodes22-list] Redesigned Traveler

Hey Graham,
My first Rhodes was new when I bought it back in '76. The hull #
was GBX22005376 one off from yours, so I guess mine was 245, but the sail
number was 231--go figure. I often wonder where it is now. That boat
sailed to the Bahamas, stayed there for several months and then returned. I
sold it when I moved to Oregon about 20 years ago and lost track of it.
Anyone with a '76 have this #?

Chris

Dennis:
I was interested to see that you are also rebuilding a 74 Rhodes 22. I am
also extremely envious that you are so close to launching. I figure I have
another 2 years to go given that health issues have precluded any work on
the boat this summer.
My hull # is 244 and I am wondering what yours is. The serial number is
GBX220052G76.
I am wondering if you have had any problems with deep cracks in the bottom
of the keel and if so what you did to address them? Also, I am wondering if
you know what was used to fill the keel?
Thanks,

Graham

Thanks for the great information on the traveler and fiddle block
arrangement. My 74 that I have been rebuilding has no traveler or car for
the block to attach to. Does anyone have an old one or extra one that they
are willing to sell? The cabin has the new stringers, sole and galley deck,
bench, and head deck and compression post back in. I hope to be ready to
put the boat in the water next week and need this last part for the boat to
sail. I hope to paint the hull in the next 3-4 days also.

Sincerely,

Dennis Frappier

with the easy, step by step instructions to install. It is of course
completely independent of the backstays.... applying no pressure to the
mast/forestay what so ever.
