Rummy
    At this point I have no furler at all
My sails still hank on to the head stay
Last year the bigger of my jibs turned into a rag on a not so windy day and 
I spent the rest of the season using the storm jib
during the winter I purchased a used set of sails and the jib is set up for 
a roller
so I am starting from scratch
any and all advice will be very appreciated

Dave,
I have made replacement bearings for the GB furling system in the past.
What furler do you have and what parts are needed? Pictures would be really
helpful. Attached is a drawing of the bearing I machined for Captain Kellers
R22  several years ago.
