Bill,

You might call Big Lagoon SP and ask them if you can tie-up at the waterfront, a dock I recall, if you are a registered camper.  This might be more convenient and less costly.  There should be good spots to anchor in the 'Grand Lagoon', although carefully as this is the intercoastal waterway routing.  We used to live at Seaglade, a wonderful community on the water when I was on Active Duty in the Navy.  It has changed much since the visit of Hurricane Ivan some years ago.  If the Shipyard Marina seems a better choice you might verify with them transient Live-aboard rules and accommodations, like bath, showers, etc. - the obvious to you I am sure.  You will love the 'Miracle Strip' even with expected chilly wx.  We were there for our 47th in October.

Hi Guys,
I can highly recommend the Pensacola Shipyard Marina 700 Myrick street, Pensacola Fl 32505, 850-439-1451.
We have stayed there while attending the annual B.E.E.R. Cruise in June (Google it we had a ball 46 boats cruised around Pensacola Bay) the folks at the marina were very accommodating, nice facility with showers and laundry and a great setup area and ramp. Their web address pensacolashipyard.com.
