re: selecting the outboard for a R22
I recommend the Tohatsu 6hp long shaft with the SAIL PRO prop. I made the
mistake of buying the standard prop and just changed to the Sail Pro model
this year and it really makes a difference in docking control. I don't
have the linkage for the motor and tiller but its useful if you have a very
tight docking space.
just my 2 cents.
THe only downside of the Tohatsu in the NYC Metro area is the paucity of
mechanics who will work on this engine.
