Lynn:
I never thought of removing the chainplates that way. Much more efficient
than what I did.

Subject: [Rhodes22-list] Deck mounted chain plate

I tore out both forward side stay chain plates when I tried to move a tree
branch with my mast on the way to our boat ramp.

One suggestion Stan haas was to cut descrete access holes on the inside
shell to install mounting hardware for, or through bolt the deck tang. Seal
the chain plate exit and cover the access hole with a neat plastic plate or
other creative gadget like a barometer. I am doing it this month. Thanks for
all of the strength/stress analysis.

Lynn
