My boat also had the pump-out capped. We still have active thru-hulls for
the sink and the bilge

Not sure about Graham's boat but Fretless has two thru-hulls. One is the
sink. The other is because she was originally had a porta-potty that could
be emptied via the deck pump-out or pumped overboard. Not legal anywhere we
sail, so we just capped it.
