Wow, 16 years. More than one cover? 

I like your idea of tying bimini to boom - bothered me that it blocks my
cabin top solar panel. I may alternate depending on mood and weather
forecast. I do have SS bows so feels pretty sturdy.

I guess I'll have to experiment on anchor ideas. I'd like to leave the
anchor and chain on the bow pulpit if possible - doesn't sound that heavy
but awkward to carry. Fortress definitely preferable.
