José,

Congratulations on the recycled boat and welcome to the Rhodes Fleet. We tend to be a rowdy bunch...just saying.

I considered the propane outboard when I got my recycled boat in 2013, but ended up with a new 20-inch shaft Tohatsu 9.8. I love the thought of not having unleaded fuel. However, I just didn't see the benefit of propane over a standard four cycle. My Tohatsu sips gas, starts on first pull ( okay one press of electric start) and has been bullet proof. I do not have remote controls but maybe one day. I don't find it very difficult but I have long arms to control tiller and throttle.

Where is your home port?

Does the Lehr outboard come in a 20 inch sailboat-friendly ( long shaft) version?

Cheers,
Ted
