Hi Susan & Graham!

You can rake the IMF mast aft by extending the headstay at the tang 
(mine's at the top of the stay), and taking up the slack you've created 
in the backstays. The mast will 'tilt' backwards, moving the center of 
effort aft and helping to reduce (or eliminate) lee helm. I agree though 
- I don't think you can bend an IMF without breaking something ;)
