Good thought Stephen, and i agree. I know many people have pulpit lights installed. But i remember once i was drifting ever so elegantly into my slip once when a huge power cruiser roared by with a nice 4' cresting wake that promptly took my little 18' sailboat and jammed the bow pulpit sideways under the dock ripping the pulpit free! If it sticks out it can be ripped off! Plus lights on the cabin puts a nice little glow on deck to light your way forward.
