[Rhodes22-list] Fwd: rudder play

There has to be some freedom of movement to allow the blade to kick up. My
blade was a little loose so I took up the slack just enough so the the
blade still swings up. The other area where you may get some movement is at
the rudder stock where the tiller bolts onto the rudder. Again. take up as
much slack as you can but don't tighten it so much that you can't lift the
tiller up.

You may have to live with the fact that the Rhodes 22  has a creaky rudder
especially when you have to use it as a paddle to get back to your moorings
