What!? When??

I've been away from the computer far more than I've been in front of it of
recently, and I'm just getting caught up with email again. Stan's message
was the first I read of Rummy's passing. 

He will certainly be missed - whether his raucous humor about the benefits
of rum on board (and the discussion of where best to store it), or exactly
how far the rail should be buried to maximize your Rhodes 22 experience.

I'm headed out to Magic Moments now to tip one to Rummy and to watch the
sunset - perhaps there'll be a green flash to mark the moment :\

I don't believe I get all the List e-mails so don't know if the lack of any
concerning Rummy's passing is due to my not getting such mail or because
none were posted due to some sort of tradition or silent respect or
whatever.  Not being bound by nature to any such rules:

Rummy had the best sense of humor of any Rhodie, OK, with one exception.

Rummy was the most generous and most accurate with his advise to all other
Rhodies, with no exception.

Rummy was a sometime adversary; in private always a friend in a mutual
admiration society.

Like many of old time Rhodies, I will miss him painfully.
