Alex,

Lake Erie sailing in July and August is great! August maybe a little
better because more dependable wind.

And green algae soup is delicious. Just dip your pot into the lake and
boil. (Just kidding)

Along the Cleveland lakefront there is a long breakwall allowing you to
explore the shoreline and Cuyahoga River regardless of the waves. There
are some nice parks on both ends of the wall with excellent launch ramps.
Not busy at all during the work week. Most years, no trace of green algae.

Join the Great Lakes Cruising Club and you can stay one night free at many
full service I-LYA yacht clubs on Lakes Erie and St. Clair and their
tributaries.
