[Rhodes22-list] Searching the archives Re: Electric motors; and searching the archives

Hi Frank, I post some variation of this post on searching the archives
fairly often as it is not intuitive.

Here are some ways that I've had luck searching for topics in the
archives of the Rhodes list.

The Rhodes list archives are on the Rhodes Owners site with a link from
here:
http://rhodes22.org/mailman/listinfo/rhodes22-list

The actual archive list lives here:
http://rhodes22.org/pipermail/rhodes22-list/

You can search the archives using Google by entering your search terms
and specifying the site - for example:
site:rhodes22.org "wiring diagram"

This isn't as reliable as it used to be. I don't know if it's a change
in Google's search algorithm or a change in our storage (which has
happened several times as different people have become caretaker of the
email list and website - thank you to Mike and John, our most recent
caretakers.)

Nabble is a service that makes a web presentation of email lists.
Someone added the R22 list to it years ago so there is a good archive
there as well. You can use the search box on the Nabble page
(http://rhodes-22.1065344.n5.nabble.com/)  to search the archives as
well and at this point, it seems to work better than the Google search
but they will pull different results at times.

Hope this helps.

Basically I’d just like something that would get me in and out of the slip, and perhaps slowly move me back to the marina should the wind die. Any recommendations for specific ones?
