Stab.  Technically I’m innocent, thanks to autocorrect.   My post said book.  
If Book isn’t an official general boat’s term I’m still wrong, but at least
not a blockhead.    What is the official term for the plastic deck fitting
the crane bolts to called?

While we are in the educating mode, what is the official term for the cubby
or nook under the winch where aI stuff the tail end of my jibsheet?
