Hey Richard,
I assume you have read "Accidental Sailor" about how he
ended up in the Med?. Actually funny you mentioned him. I contacted him
about my intention to do what I am doing and we exchanged a lot of emails
and problem solved a lot of challenges. He actually was instrumental in
connecting me with some key people that made this happen. Yeh his guides
are excellent, I own almost all of them.

Hopefully it will not take me 21 years to get to Ithaca and my wife has no
suitors, only me! Nothing exciting to report other than Alice arrived
yesterday and our first full day started slow as she was adjusting to the 6
hour time difference. 12:00 noon found us at one of the many cafes
overlooking the marina and about 8 miles of coast north. Alice drank her 2
cups of coffee and had her pastry, and I enjoyed a cold beer. There were
probably more cafes and restaurants along this stretch of coast than in the
whole of the Bahamas. We enjoy each venu, but it is kind of easy on the
constitution to sit back and enjoy epicurean aspect of Spain. Got a deal on
a 6 kg (13 lbs) Rocna and had to do a few mods. to make it fit on the
bow. Has anyone ever put a bow roller (offset) on their boat? Around 1:00
pm had a nice lunch on the boat with air cured thinly slice ham on fresh
baked bred and lots of fruit. Then go invited out for another lunch at 3,
so of course we went and had a very nice light Thai 2nd lunch, sounds sort
like a Hobbit's diet. Maybe tomorrow I'll work on the mast. Hmm, who was
it that turned Odysseus' men into pigs? Must have happened here in Spain.
