I recently bought a Rhodes 22 launched her and a week later found the bilge filled with salt water. After checking the centerboard gasket and bolts and finding them dry I discovered the leak. It was from the port thru-hull fitting located adjacent to the forward battery. I needed to remove the plywood to get to it and discovered a plastic thru hull fitting. I was hesitant to adjust it for fear of breaking it and then having to haul her out. I wound up installing a bilge pump and tying discharge into sink waste. I plan on replacing both thru hulls with bronze fittings this winter.
