Roger,

Thanks for the pics. Always good ideas in your setup.

I looked twice at the AM/FM/WB Stereo Cassette Player and had to laugh. I
thought that I was the only one who still has cassettes (and 8-tracks)! My
radio (not counting the VHF) is an AM/FM/SiriusXM/USB/microSD. I probably
should transfer the 8-tracks, cassettes and CDs to a microSD. I think that
the radio will support 128GB. That should do it!

Hi all,

The attached photos are from the archive. The first two images are the
permanent 2-burner propane stove in S/V Dynamic Equilibrium’s galley. Note
that the stove is not gimbaled. On a boat this size, the motion is too
violent along multiple axis to allow for cooking while underway in any kind
of sea. But, at anchor or at a slip, this stove is great!

The next image is the 5 lb propane cylinder out under the port side cockpit
seat. The socket that the tank is sitting is a modified schedule 40 8”
plastic pipe flange. Note the local ¼ turn shutoff valve. The regulator is
thru bolted to the underside of the coaming compartment (not shown):

The next image is my hot water system. It’s a pump thermos. The mount is a
modified 6” Beckson deck inspection port. This image shows the thermos
installed in the mount. The base of the thermos is sitting on top of the
ice box. You fill the thermos with boiling water prior to getting underway
and you have hot water for coffee, tea, & soup all day.

The next image shows the deck inspection plate with the stock pry-out filler
plate installed. You can also see the machined out filler plate still
mounted on the pump thermos:

I also have a Magma propane grill. Here is a picture of it on a Boy Scout
Camping Trip with the table top legs installed:

[An Ink Drawing]

Besides steaks & chicken, by using ceramic cookware, I can bake in my
propane grill. I often do cookies and brownies. I don’t have a picture of
it; but, I also have a set of railing clamps that mount the grill onto the
stern pulpit. It works & I’ve used it a few times. But, the mainsail
traveler, mainsheet tackle, and tiller are in the way & I need to unrig
that gear or tie it off to one side. Usually, in a marina, there is a
picnic table ashore to grill on and the tabletop legs have proven to be more
useful.

So, built-in 2 burner stove, 5 lbs of propane, propane grill/oven, ice chest
– I don’t go sailing on my Rhodes 22 to rough it gentlemen!

Nice photo, much fancier than my basic camp cooking which usually involves
adding water and heating something pre-made.
