Hi Graham,
I found the product, it is the C.S. Johnson Roller Furler Bail, Defender PN
614089. The two mounting holes are 1" center to center, tapped for 10-32
fasteners, with a 1/4" hole in the center. You can find a swivel base cam
cleat to connect to this bail.
I am considering doing this.
