Rodger, Ric Lloyd, Ed Wally and others I hit the points in one email.

As for the system.

It is a open source system for maintaining FAQ's for the projects, The "old" standard for a FAQ was one file maintained by one
person, the problem was that the FAQ would fall out of date as the one person did not have the time to maintain them or they became
overloaded or lost interest over time. The other issue was, programmers would be editing direct html for the FAQ, It was recognized
the non-programmer wanted to help projects but they needed a system to use.

How does faqomatic address these problems:

It is a layied system, where you are able to define "roles" for different classes of users(admin, moderators, everyone else).

1)The admin, they setup and maintance rights, they also give out the "moderators" rights and can change or reiesign them.
2)the moderators, they "own" a Subchapter and the Subchapter. what that mean that each section is controled by someone, they can
add,delete and remove any materal from Subchapters and the childred.
3)everone else can add to the Subchapter's(it is a option), then the  moderators can edit or control the info.


we and also tie, inages right into the FAQ.

So what I see here, most like me and mark take the admin role, their are some dangers commands that will break the system(like
delete all ;-), this level was designed for a programmer to use.

The moderators can be grouped 2 ways, that they own thier subchapter exclusively or the can be grouped by teams that can control
parts or all the system. I subspect the team aproch might work here.

Everyone else, they post good answeers, they keep it up and the group most liky will put them in the moderators group(I am also
pretty sure the moderators get a email update when things are added), we can remove this option is it is abused or to many questions
find thier way thier(also a way of knoing that more info is needed)

Thier are lots of options and control here, I only skimmed the surface here.


Now the question of why, Tom has been doing a great job with the FAQ, but it has been a while since I seen any email from him. I
been sitting on this for 2 months now and Tom has not returned any of my private email asking about the FAQ. Thier is a chace he
thinks me to be a first class prick, my fault, So others have also tried to reach him and also have not heard back. I stuck with
what to do now. They is some real good stuff that sould be in thier, thier should be some updating and corrections. Simply copying
and updating the site seem a little rude. One Person doing all the work seems a little much(it about 2 megs right now) and this
seemed nice way out. Maybe I have a bad email address for him and he check in.
