[Rhodes22-list] Sailing - Highly Technical Question

Brad,

OK, one of my engineering reference books on municipal sewage treatment
gives the freezing point as a range from 0 deg C to -10 deg C depending upon
dissolved solids content & pH. The higher the pH &/or the greater the
dissolved solids content, the lower the freeze point. You didn't say
whether you have holding tank sanitizer (the blue stuff) in your holding
tank. If you do, it will suppress bacterial activity, & you won't be able
to count on anaerobic digestion to produce heat. -10 deg C is about +14 deg
F. That's the freezing point if you were excreting the most concentrated
urine your body can produce without renal failure, such as if you were very
dehydrated, almost in a state of heat exhaustion.

Hope this helps you make up your mind...?
