Michael and All;

"Got to love the guy" is right on. We were there on Sat. at S/S in Chgo. The
boats looked good! If you didn't see the picture board, with the typed inset
which started, "A funny thing happened on the way from North Carolina to
Chgo..." you wouldn't know there was anything up with Elton or the boat (had
to look under the stern to see the dings). Elton was at his usual which is
pretty laid back and non chalant. He had a great "crew" with him. Bob and
Kathy Quinn who came up from temperate weather in Flordia (ask them about
the weather change), cleaned up the Rhodes, and with Dave from Seaward,
raised the mast and cleaned up the 26 Seaward. Very nice job! Bob and Kathy,
Elton and Dave were working the boats the entire day, which at most times
was non-stop. Dorene and I made some "cushion runs" with Elton out to the
van, which had gotten pretty banged up from the accident. The day ended up
with a dinner at "Joes Bebop" at Navy Pier with Elton from NC, Bob and Kathy
from Fl, Julie and Dan who came in from Mn., Jerry and Carol who came in
from Oh. and Dorene and I, Ron and Becky, Bob and Debby, from spitting
distance. All Rhodes owners and (as expected) a good group!

Glen and Dorene

P.S. also looking at the 26.
