  Peter,
    The problem is that I am not sure where the cement ballast ends as 
I dont want to drill thru that cement.   I dont want to disturb the 
only  solid foam floatation I have also.
  any guidance here folks??


   If the cable were attached to the plate and covered with a good 
amount of resin wouldn t it be safe to mount in the lazarette  ?
  am i taking too many risks here due to gas fumes?
